Sweet Little Hanging Starfish

New to Wood & Rope, today I made three styles of hanging starfish decorations.

I started of with a length of natural craft paper twist and formed into a loop. I then added a shell which I personally hand picked in the Cook Island, South Pacific.

For this one I used a piece of leather that used to be a necklace that broke. I then added pearls to each end.

This one is my favourite, I love the colour of the turquoise leather and conveniently the shell had a hole in it.

These three hanging starfish are available for sale at my Folksy shop

Tie The Knot

Are you getting married this summer? Why not tie the knot with one of our rope ampersands. After designing the wood and rope logo I thought it would be great to make a real rope ampersand. Then instead of the W&R I thought it would be fun to put couples initials instead. This would make a great decoration for a beach wedding. Here are some more photos of beach themed wedding decorations taken from my Pinterest board “A Beach Wedding”

This photo is from our wedding day in the South Pacific, I collected this shell the morning of our wedding to use as a ring pillow.

Then we tied the knot!

This rope ampersand is for sale at my Folksy shop please take a look, they can be made to order.
